Sweet and Spicy Beef Bowl

This is an AMAZING use of all the ground DEER MEAT I have in my freezer. I know it says beef, but you can use any ground meat. If I called the recipe sweet and spicy ground meat, it just wouldn't sound as good. Right? My husband has actually been asking me to make this again and again. So, that is what is on the menu for lunch today. It is so easy, and nice because you can use ground meat instead of buying meat that you have to slice thinly or chunk. For my family, it is one of those quick and easy meals that requires just a few ingredients and takes little to no effort at all to make. A great week night meal.

Sweet and Spicy Beef Bowl with Broccoli and Rice

Ingredients:
1lb lean ground beef (or chicken, turkey, deer)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 teaspoon ginger (if it can't be fresh, ground is okay)
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 onion, sliced thinly
Salt and Pepper
Toasted Sesame Seeds or Sliced green onions (if available)

Directions:
Place a large skillet on your stove and heat over medium heat. Brown your hamburger meat when it is almost cooked, drain, then add it back to the pan while also adding the sesame oil and garlic. When it is completely cooked add sugar, soy sauce, ginger, crushed red pepper, and salt and pepper. Serve over rice and top with sesame seeds, or slice green onions, OR BOTH! :)

Serve with a side of broccoli for your veggie (optional) or a bag oriental veggies.
